Handicapable Camp 2014

Cheri volunteered as a photographer at Handicapable Camp at Bradford Woods near Martinsville in September. Her primary cabin to hang out with and photograph was Montgomery. It was a fun day with various activities for the campers. A few are in the photos below.

We sponsored John Goodson in the 2014 Bike MS event. We have a cousin who has MS so we support this important cause.

Caring and Sharing at Shepherd Community

Kim organized a paper supplies drive for Shepherd Community through NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) and on December 18, Kim, her husband, and other NAWIC members spent time at Shepherd organizing and separating toys that were donated from people around Indianapolis for Shepherd's Christmas store. The store is unique because it empowers parents to be able to provide Christmas for their children. Thanks to the donations, parents aren't simply given toys to take home, but they can also select books, gloves/hats, socks, underwear, and other necessities.

2nd Annual Free Portait Day

On November 10, 2012 our web/graphic designer, Cheri, organized the 2nd Annual Free Portrait Event at Unleavened Bread Cafe. Our VP of Sales Kim is took an administrative role again this year, and her husband filled in for Santa who was busy at the North Pole making toys and checking his lists. 29 Families/Individuals were served, with a total of 26 adults and 33 children. We had 2 photography stations for families/individuals, 1 station for babies and young children, and 1 station for Santa.

If you would like to join us in supporting this event next time, please let us know. Volunteers and donations are always appreciated. Pictured below is our team of volunteers - photographers, admin, and entertainment.

ABC Henryville Hope Project

In October 2012 we were a community service sponsor of the ABC Henryville Hope Project. The Hope Project was a week of helping rebuild Henryville after devastating tornadoes earlier in the year.

Free Portait Day

On December 10, 2011 our web/graphic designer, Cheri, organized the 1st Annual Free Portrait Event at Unleavened Bread Cafe, an inner-city cafe and ministry at 30th and Central in Indianapolis with 2 other photographers. Our VP of Sales, Kim, assisted that day with registration and supplying snacks for the children. Photos were taken of 22 families and 1 teen service group, totaling 25 adults and 53 children. Santa Claus was on hand to take photos with the children. We also contributed to the purchase of over 1,000 prints which were distributed to the families/group.

Habitat for Humanity

habitat buildOn Wednesday, October 29, 2008, Christy and Cheri volunteered at a local Habitat build. They spent the afternoon painting the back of the house a bright sunny yellow. Cheri was able to capture Christy on a camera phone.

On Wednesday, November 5, 2008, Jerry and Gladys volunteered at another local Habitat build in the same community. Gladys spent the morning painting interior doors. Jerry worked on the porch railing.

The next morning on Thursday continued the work in that same house. Kim painted interior walls while Lester, Bill, and Christy painted the exterior of the house.

We are proud to say that we had 100% participation from all owners and staff for the Habitat for Humanity service project.

Kim took these working pictures on 11/6. The picture of the owner and her family was taken the day of the dedication. This is the owner of the house at which we spent the most time.
